Tour description
Full day to the excavations of Pompeii and to the splendid city of Naples. The total duration of the tour is 12 hours, with departure from Rome scheduled for 07.30 am
First Step
Pompei, a leap in time, a total immersion, in the ancient city, where you can visit the remains of temples, public buildings, rich patrician villas and stroll through the ancient shops, public houses, “taverns”, where citizens they carried out their daily life Particularly touching is the sight of the plaster casts, a “snapshot” of the agony to which the ancient Pompeians were subjected by the hot gases coming from Vesuvius
Second Step
Lunch break, after visiting the excavations, you can taste the typical Neapolitan cuisine, eating a Margherita pizza in the villages of the city of Naples or relax walking along the Lungomare di Margellina.
Third Step
Plebiscito square, discovering the real Naples, a place to walk where you can admire its grandeur and the two jewels: the Royal Palace and the neoclassical colonnade of the church of San Francesco di Paola ;
Posillipo hill and Caracciolo seafront, a last panoramic walk by car before returning to Rome, from which you can admire the city of Naples as in a postcard, overlooking the gulf and with Vesuvius in the background.
