Tour Description
Full day tour in the splendid city of Florence, cradle of the Renaissance. The duration of the tour is 12 hours with departure from Rome scheduled for 7.30 am
First Step
Signoria Square, where the “Place of the Signoria or Old Place ” is located, one of the symbolic monuments of the city, in front of which there are some famous statues, including a copy of the famous David by Michelangelo ;
GALLERIA DEGLI UFFIZI, the most important art gallery in Italy, with its thousands of priceless works of art covering a span of about five centuries. The collection on display today has over 2200 works. Here you can admire the works of the most important Florentine artists such as Giotto and Masaccio, and timeless masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s “Tondo Doni”, Leonardo da Vinci’s “Annunciation”, Botticelli’s “Spring and Venus”, only for name a few!
The cost of museum tickets are not included in the price tour.
Second Step
Lunch break, you can take a little stop at the Antico Vinaio, to taste the best sandwiches in the world, where it is worth queuing up for one of their “Schiacciate” !!
Third Step
Duomo Square, heart of Florence, where you can admire the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore, surmounted by the majestic dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptistery of San Giovanni and Giotto’s Bell Tower, a masterpiece of Florentine Gothic architecture;
Basilic Santa Maria Novella, here are preserved famous frescoes and precious works of art such as the famous Green Cloister and the Cappellone degli Spagnoli.
Old Bridge, symbol of the city, the oldest bridge in Florence and Europe, which crosses the Arno river, where you will find historic goldsmiths and jewelers’ shops, to indulge in a little shopping!!
Pitti Place, the imposing and sumptuous palace that was the residence of the Medici and Lorraine, with the wonderful park, the Boboli Gardens, a splendid example of an Italian garden;
